Payment methods that you can use with your Apple ID

To buy apps from the App Store, use Apple subscriptions like iCloud+ and Apple Music, or buy other media from Apple, you need an Apple ID and a valid payment method. See what forms of payment are accepted in your country or region.

If you can't make purchases or update apps, including free apps, you need to update your payment method or add a new one. If you already verified that a payment method is available in your country or region and you're still having trouble, contact your financial institution.

  2. You might be asked to verify your account with the payment method provider.
  3. When you use Apple Pay in Europe, pay with any eligible card that's in Wallet on the device that you're using. Learn more about billing and purchases in Europe.
  4. This payment method can't be used for Family Sharing.
  5. You must provide the mobile phone number that your card's issuing bank has on file for you. Some cards do not have mobile numbers associated with them. If this is the case with your card, contact your bank to update or replace it.
  6. This payment method can't be used for AppleCare+ installment plans. You can't remove other payment methods if they're the only accepted payment method for your installment plans.
  7. With TrueMoney, you must provide the mobile phone number associated with your TrueMoney account.
